The Village of Monroeville oversees a utility that supplies both water and sewer services to its residents. The Water Department is responsible for upholding the infrastructure required for the distribution of water to homes and businesses. Fire hydrants undergo testing twice a year by the Water Department. Water meters are read on a monthly basis. Customers have the option to purchase bulk water at the water plant, located at 136 Monroe Street, utilizing a coin-operated system for their convenience. The price for bulk water is set at $9.50 per thousand gallons. The Wastewater Department is responsible for sewage treatment, solid waste disposal, and the management and maintenance of the sewage collection station. Furthermore, the Wastewater Department oversees the infrastructure related to the wastewater system.
