The Village of Monroeville manages a utility that provides both water and sewer services to the community. The Water Department is tasked with maintaining the infrastructure necessary for delivering water to residences and businesses. Fire hydrants are tested biannually by the Water Department. Water meters are read each month. Customers can purchase bulk water at the water plant, situated at 136 Monroe Street, through a coin-operated system for their convenience. The cost for bulk water is $9.50 per thousand gallons. The Wastewater Department is in charge of sewage treatment, solid waste disposal, and the operation and maintenance of the sewage collection station. Additionally, the Wastewater Department supervises the infrastructure associated with the wastewater system.
