The Village of Monroeville operates a utility providing water service & sewer service to the Village. The Water Department is responsible for the infrastructure that allows water to be delivered to homes and businesses. The Water Department tests fire hydrants on a semi-annual basis. Water meters are read on a monthly basis. Bulk water can be purchased at the water plant, located at 136 Monroe Street, using a coin-operated system for customer convenience. The Wastewater Department is responsible for the treatment of sewage, disposal of solids, and the operation and maintenance of the sewage collection station. The Wastewater Department also oversees the infrastructure for the wastewater system. 

REMINDER TO SEWER CUSTOMERS: Do not to dispose of any mercury-containing items or fluids in the sewer. There is a ”Mercury in the Household” brochure that can be downloaded from the Available Documents section of this page.
