Yard Waste, Leaves and Recycling

YARD WASTE

Yard waste is collected on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, April through October. Yard waste must be placed curbside by 7AM and must be in a container, two containers maximum. NO TRASH, ANIMAL FECES, GARBAGE OR OTHER NON-YARD WASTE MATERIALS. NO PLASTIC BAGS!

LEAF PICK-UP

Leaves are vacuumed on an as-needed basis, October through December. Leaves must be raked curbside by 7AM, away from telephone poles and mail boxes in order to allow the VAC truck to be effective. DO NOT RAKE LEAVES INTO THE STREET. DO NOT RAKE ANY GARBAGE, BOTTLES, CANS, STICKS, LIMBS OR ANIMAL FECES WITH THE LEAVES. Anything other than leaves will be left for you to dispose of!

RECYCLABLES

Recyclables are collected on Monday & Tuesday, of the LAST FULL WEEK OF EACH MONTH. Recyclables can be dropped off at the Ridgefield Township recycling dumpster, located at the Ridgefield Township building, 47 S Ridge Street, Monroeville. The following are accepted:

Glass: From food & beverage containers, all colors.

Plastic: Detergent & food containers that are 1's and 2's.

Cans: Aluminum, steel, & bi-metal cans from food & drink.

Paper: Newspaper, computer and office paper.

Cardboard: Without tape or metal.

NO GARBAGE, FOOD WASTE, FOAM, WINDOW GLASS OR CONTAMINANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

TRASH PICK-UP

Trash pick-up is not done by the Village of Monroeville. Trash pick-up is based on independent contracts and Monroeville is serviced by two companies. Republic Services can be reached at 1-800-686-2454 and Cyclone Services can be reached at 1-800-711-2976.
